Abstract

From the "theory of identifications", which was structured by Jaques Lacan in the IX Seminar - The Identifications, this master's research aims to establish the identitary process performed in the collectivity by the signifier identifications. In the first part of the research our goal is to trace the transition from the conception of a "subject identical to itself" (A=A), which is very widespread and well demarcated on the Philosophy, to another conception of subject, sustained by the signifier identifications. In the second part of the research we will present a formula of identifications, so that from it we can properly address the collective identifications. Based on the articulation of Freudian-Lacanian identification's elements proposed by Ernesto Laclau, we will deepen our comprehension of the links that unite the collectivity through the chain of insignias and the signifier identifications.
