Abstract

Introduction: Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OSCC) is the fifth malignant neoplasia most common worldwide and affects mostly men between the fifth and sixth decade of life. However, a higher occurrence among young people has recently been reported in different countries of the world, and the clinical and biological behavior of these tumors is still a matter of discussion. Aim: To compare the profile of proteome of OSCC in young patients HPV positive with tissue samples control of patients with the same diagnosis, age and HPV negative. Materials and methods: Will be conducted a study of cases control, experimental analytical, retrospective, of longitudinal cut; to compare the clinicopathological features and mass spectrometry based proteomic and microdissection laser of young patients HPV positive HPV and negative. Expected results: It is expected to identify differences in the molecular pathogenesis of young patients HPV positive and negative, with the propose to obtain new scientific evidence to allow a better understanding of the clinical and biological behavior of OSCC in this group of patients. Enabling future clinical applications to improve the survival rate of affected patients.
