Abstract

As the incidence of obesity in children have increased and leptin is a permissive factor for the onset of puberty, circulating levels of high leptin became a common factor that can cause an advance of puberty. However, the increase in the accumulation of fat in the body is associated with resistance to leptin. Currently there is little information on sensitivity to leptin affects sexual development. Therefore, this project aims to investigate how different models of sensitivity or resistance to leptin act in puberty female mice.
