Abstract

The computational model Avinesp estimates nutritional requirements based on genetic potential and determine feed consumption regarding factors related to environment and diet. The Avinesp outstand from other programs, through consider the nutrient efficiency utilization from Brazilian diets. The Avinesp software takes in account the maintenance used nutrients and the utilization efficiency of lysine, threonine and methionine+cystine, determined at the last thematic project. With the proposed studies on this project will be possible to update the maintenance used nutrients and the utilization efficiency of isoleucine, valine and tryptophan currently being used by the model on Avinesp. Another proposed update is the inclusion of another tool, which will make possible the feed formulation for birds. The tool was developed already and it is in implementation phase, therefore, the pos-doc proposed will be responsible for the correct implementation of the feed formulation tool, that will provide a feed formulation with economic approach. There is also the need for further research to assess the response of birds receiving different protein levels, with the goal of defining the biological and economic optimal protein intake through mathematical models. To achieve these objectives will be conducted two studies of Cobb and Ross males and one for females in the initial stages (1 to 14 days), growth (15 to 28 days) and late (29-42 days). The results of these studies will be incorporated into Avinesp, increasing the tools available, as proposed in the thematic project. With this expansion the Avinesp software will be a growth simulation model of birds with economic analysis. The implementation of this proposal will provide major breakthrough in Avinesp software, which will be available to the community. (AU)
