With this doctoral research, we goal to do analysis of pratice of writing and reading related to the composition of commonplace copybooks,the early of twentieth century until today, in Brazil,in order to raise certain continuities and discontinuities historical of these pratices. Since the implemetation of Jesuit teaching method,from sixteenth century in Brazil,it was predicted the teaching of this technique of collection of 'phrases',removed of reading texts, in order to produce another texts. Despite of this technique no be longer teaching,it still recurrent, as we observe in copybooks of several Brazilian writers in first half of the twentieth century and also, today, in websites dedicated to construction online repositories of 'phrases'. The analysis of usage and historical variations of this technique will be subsidized of theoretical perspective of Discourse Analysis along with some principles and concepts of Cultural History of Reading.Our research corpus it will be constitued of copybooks available in digital collections of Brazilian intellectuals which showing this technique and websites and blogs of today's readers that showed this usage contemporary in digital versions of this 'commonplace copybooks'.
