Abstract

With recent studies of Positive Psychology, it was evident the need and urgency to understand not only the mechanisms of disease, but also those linked to the well-being and human flourishing. The area has grown rapidly in the past decade, but many issues are still neglected. The human touch is one of them. The role of touch has been well studied in maternal issues and child development. However, no much is known about how human touch can influence our perception of others emotional reaction. This project will seek to address this issue through behavioral measures, electromyographic and cortical activity. (AU)
