Abstract

The tooth loss and the need for extractions are still a reality in the Brazilian population. There is great concern among dentists regarding the use of antiplatelet agents, in relation to the increased risk of bleeding in patients undergoing oral surgery. It is very important the development of dental surgical care insurance protocols to patients on dual antiplatelet therapy. In this context, evaluation tests of platelet aggregability have great relevance and clinical applicability, but the ideal method is not well established in the literature, and they are targets of several clinical trials and recently published consensus.
