Abstract

Knowing the dietary patterns of the population includes nutritional assistance actions and can contribute to health care. However, traditional methods of dietary intake analysis have weaknesses that lead to measurement errors. The development of new tools can assist in information quality in dietary surveys while the use of digital technology with mobile devices facilitates recording and analysis of data, as already demonstrated. The objective of this investigation is to verify the validity and reliability of Nutrabem application as a tool for recording food intake in adults. Randomized cross-sectional study will be conducted with users of the application; food intake will be estimated by the application and the 24-hour recall, and the records will be entered into the nutritional composition analysis program Nutrabem Pro. To verify the validity, the correlation study will be made between the values of energy and nutrients obtained from both instruments by the interclass correlation coefficient, Pearson correlation coefficient, Student's t test and sign test. Reliability will be measured by the interclass correlation coefficient and block analysis of variance. Users socioeconomic variables and computer skills will be identified by a questionnaire, while perception analysis regarding the methods utilized will be verified by a Likert scale with reliability measured by Cronbach's alpha correlation coefficient. It is expected to verify if the Nutrabem application presents validity and reliability to be used as a resource for the measurement of food intake in adults. (AU)
