Abstract

The first initiative on record on nursing data in the country, due to the Brazilian Association of Nursing (ABEn), which held between 1956 and 1958, a survey of Resources and Needs of Nursing in Brazil. By continuous transformations, nursing education requires evidence to legitimize their role in the production of knowledge and its presence in society. The aim of this study is to evaluate the professional trajectory of the Nursing Course graduates of the University of Franca - UNIFRAN in an attempt to identify the challenges of the profession and of course to meet the new demands of the professional profile and the labor market. This is a descriptive transversal study with a quantitative approach, from the telephone contact to the said course graduates and use of the questionnaire itself. It focuses on the evaluation of vocational training, qualifications and performance of health workers in the labor market, taking as theoretical and methodological framework of national curriculum guidelines for undergraduate courses in nursing and pedagogy of the competences. The content analysis will be treated qualitative data and quantitative data will be based on the exact numbers and percentages presented in charts, tables and discussed with the relevant literature.
