Abstract

The search for high-performance and sustainable concretes has been a subject of research for many years. Due to the rise of civil construction, there are constant searchers for the improving and obtaining alternative materials that can contribute to compose a concrete with greater mechanical performance and durability, becoming more economical and ecologically viable. Therefore, this project seeks use concepts of dispersion and particles packing for the development of High Performance Concretes (HPC), adding ash Eucalyptus wood (AEW) to its constitution. The addition will be done partially replacing the fine aggregate (sand) for the in-nature AEW in the proportions of 25, 50, 75 and 100%. As well, will be add superplasticizer and active silica as mineral addition to the concrete in the proportion of 8% of the total mass of binder. The Portland Cement used will be the CP V-ARI and a reference will be user, without addition of AEW. The potential of the HPCs will be analyzed through the densification and trunk abatement tests. With the compressive strength test using concretes at 7, 28, 60 and 90 days. And, the water absorption test will be performed with concretes at the age of 28 days. The tests will have as parameter the standards indicated by the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (BATS) and the results obtained with the HPCs produced with additions will be compared with the reference HPC.
