Dialogues and interjections between the Brazilian psychiatric reform and the psychoanalysis: effects and unfolding into the psychoanalytic practice today

Abstract

Considering the imposing presence of the medical knowledge in the health sector - which operates based on several behaviors supposedly prevalent, resulting in the pathologization of different behaviors that runs from that, the Brazilian movement of psychiatric reform consisted in a resistance mobilization that brought a new perspective, which avoids these determinations of the "mental disease". Previously to this mobilization, in the beginning of twentieth century, Sigmund Freud was writing his new theory, which consisted in the idea of unconscious - despairing at the medical science a new way to handle with the mental suffering, without using the rationalism that were usual at this sector. According to this elements, we will draw a parallel between the movement of the psychiatric reform and the transmission of the psychoanalysis in the Brazil, based up on the axis of Freud-Lacan, or, precisely: after making semi-structured interviews with psychoanalyst that establish this discussion, we will investigate the influence of the psychiatric reform at the clinical practice of this professionals, that would have participate directly of the reform. After this, with a modality of the discourses analysis, we will look how both have dialogue, and the deploying of that reformist movement on the psychoanalytic practice, having as a starting point this data collection made by the sample of these professionals.
