Abstract

It is proposed to study the landscape of Mosquito I, Mosquito II and Mosquito III Archaeological Sites located in the Municipality of Narandiba, in the western region of the State of São Paulo. The sites present chipped lithic materials. The work on canvas aims to investigate this context by the bias of the landscape at the intersection with Earth Sciences and Geotechnologies. Studies will be carried out on the landscape and lytic collections of the sites in question. The Geosystem Theory will be used as a theoretical contribution to guide the systematization of the collected data. The results of the analysis of the physical environment and the material culture will make it possible to distinguish the lithic technology of different systems of occupation of the area of the Low Valley of the Paranapanema Paulista River. In order to do so, we will carry out bibliographical surveys, fieldwork in the areas of archaeological sites, analysis of panoramic photographs, aerial photographs and satellite images. For the systematization of the data will be used spreadsheets and geographic information system (GIS) programs, CAD and tools for treatment of images. For the analysis of the lytic collections will be used approaches of production of the artifacts, in order to understand how the raw material was acquired, the production, the use and the discard of the instruments, from a technological analysis (AU)
