Abstract

This scientific project's proposal is part of the double degree process that is being carried out between the School of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (FMUSP) and the University of Zaragoza (UNIZAR). As part of this process, 15 months of research work must be completed in the UNIZAR, of which 12 have already been completed. During the period to which this proposal refers, the work will be based on: i) to conduct a systematic review; and, additionally, two other main scientific activities: ii) to participate in data collection of a European multicentre study and iii) to contribute actively participate in the GENUD scientific meetings. The objective of this systematic review will be to assess whether the statistical approaches used in the construct validity analyses of energy balance-related behaviors [physical activity (PA), sedentary behavior (SB) and sleep time] subjective instruments are in accordance with theoretical assumptions. The searches will be performed in electronic databases. Two reviewers will perform the literature screening, data extraction and quality analysis independently, and any disagreements will be resolved through discussion, or a third reviewer will be consulted if inconsistencies persist. The descriptive analysis will be presented as percentage (%) and 95% confidence interval (95% CI). The inferential analysis will be performed by Cohen's kappa (k) agreement comparing synthesized statistical approach (reported statistical approaches) and statistical approach based on theoretical assumptions (expected statistical approaches).
