Abstract

It will be a cross-sectional multicenter study in sample 720 children and adolescents (aged 3-17 years). The study will be developed in São Paulo and Teresina (Brazil). With the purpose of: (i) to verify the reliability of related behaviors to energy expenditure (physical activity, sedentary behavior and sleep); and (ii) to estimate the validity of these subjective measures, in comparison with a objective measurement (accelerometer), children and adolescents will be submitted to a questionnaire twice (interval of 15 days), and wearing of accelerometer 7 days. The reliability between measurements (questionnaire versus questionnaire) will be checked by the kappa test for categorical variables, and correlation test Pearson/Spearman, for continuous variables. The validity (questionnaire versus accelerometer) will be estimated by the graphic analysis of Bland-Altman and the ROC curve (Receiver Operator Characteristic). (AU)
