Abstract The stochastic version of discrete-time Volterra series, identified based on input/output signals, can be used as mechanical-mathematical model in damage detection procedure, considering initially nonlinear systems with uncertainties. The procedure has presented interesting results using simulated data and Monte Carlo simulations. However, the experimental application of the approach is essential to study its performance. This proposal aim the accomplishment of damage detection in structures vibrating in nonlinear regime of motion, even in reference condition, considering the presence of uncertainties and experimental data. The experiments should be performed in the research internship in an initially nonlinear beam subject to crack propagation (nonlinear damage), considering the possible data variation. (AU) | |
