Abstract

Pregnancy promotes physical, social and emotional changes. However a minority develops some disease or injuries which increase the risks of bad consequences as hypertensive disorders and greater susceptibility to vitamin and mineral deficiencies on the mother and on the offspring. In preeclampsia, the degree of inflammation and metabolic changes are exacerbated. There is activation of TLR4 pathway, promoting increase of proinflammatory cytokines serum which leave in endothelial dysfunction. This study aims to correlate the intake of calcium and vitamin D in maternal preeclampsia with their serum levels, as well as with inflammatory parameters maternal and clinical of offspring at birth. The study will be performed in the Guilherme Álvaro Hospital. 140 pregnant of single fetus will be enrolled with high pregnancy risk (preeclampsia) (n=70) and low risk (healthy) (n=70) for the control group. It will be held food questionarie (QFA) adapted to know about the consumption of calcium and vitamin D. The history will be collected data from pregnant as well as clinical and newborn anthropometric data. It will be carried out analysis of the serum levels of calcium, vitamin D, PTH and PCR, and protein of the TLR4 pathway on placental. It is expected to find correlation between nutrient intake with serum levels and that low intake has negative influence on maternal and offspring parameters. (AU)
