Abstract

For more than four decades osseointegrated implants have been used and since then numerous studies with long periods of clinical follow-up have been published proving the reliability of its use. However, several techniques have been described in the literature with the aim of improving the esthetic results of rehabilitations with dental implants. In this way, for clinical studies that address aesthetic parameters, it is important to have data about the aesthetic evaluation of patients, the impact on their life, as well as to standardize the aesthetic assessments of the professionals, so that this information can contribute more comprehensively in the choice of treatment protocol. The objective of this study is to evaluate the aesthetics of soft tissues around the unitary implant located in the anterior area of the maxilla that received or did not graft the epithelial connective tissue. A total of 40 individuals were selected, presenting a unitary implant with at least 20 years of age, systemically healthy and with good oral health and allocated in 2 groups: Group 1 (Test n = 20) implantation of implants of the cone morse system associated to autogenous connective tissue graft; Group 2 (Control n = 20): installation of implants of the cone morse system without the placement of connective tissue graft. The results will be evaluated using the PES / WES - Pink Esthetic Score / White Esthetic Score scale; Papillary volume (VP), Visual-Aesthetic Analogue Scale (VAS) and Oral Health Impact Profile: OHIP-14.Key words: unit implants, dental aesthetics, connective tissue graft.
