Abstract In collisions of heavy ions at relativistic energies, a strongly interacting matter is created, and the behavior of such matter has been successfully described by models based on dissipative relativistic hydrodynamics. Due to the complexity of these collisions, any physical processes to be studied and tested in these extreme conditions needs to be done through these models, that includes many components such as the description of the initial conditions, the evolution equation of state, and the final hadronization processes. In this project, we propose to improve an existing hydrodynamical evolution code used by the heavy ion community, through the implementation of some important and essential physical processes. The first one is the inclusion of conservation of baryonic current, important for application in lower energy data, where the baryon chemical potential deviates from zero. The second effect planned to be included is an afterburner to the hadronization process that simulates the hadronic cascading do implement final state interactions. Also, we intend to study experimental observables that could be used as probes to these different physical processes. The comparison to data of the results from the model will be a constant in this work. Finally, to evaluate the validity of the hydrodynamic evolution to describe the results in these collisions, we intend to study these comparisons in the limit of small systems, such as the ones in proton-proton and proton-nucleus collisions. | |
