Abstract

In recent years, the prevalence of Breast Cancer has increased, according to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), 16 million new cases were expected in 2015 in developing countries (WHO, 2015). In parallel, Obesity is an important risk factor and prognosis of the disease due to the promotion of metabolic alterations. The loss of homeostasis of oxidative processes is another point of prominence in the pathogenesis of Cancer that will also provide an increase in the inflammatory state so it is important to evaluate these factors in order to track the individuals at greater risk and, therefore, to enable the adoption of preventive measures . Objective: to evaluate the metabolic, anthropometric and oxidative stress characteristics in women with Breast Cancer in different clinical stages. Methodology: a prospective study will be carried out with women with cancer who will be submitted to the interview for the application of questionnaires, with information about the disease and therapeutics, quality of life, food survey, anthropometric evaluation, dynamometry, nutritional status by bioelectric impedance, fatigue level and blood collection for biochemical and oxidative analyzes, during the periods of dignification, during chemotherapy and after 6 months of termination of therapy.
