Abstract

Rice is one of the most consumed cereals feeding more than half the population of planet earth and has potential to be exploited in diverse biosystems. The Center-West of Brazil is the most favorable region in the expansion of rice cultivation, but it is necessary to execute techniques that increase rice productivity, such as the use of plant regulators. Therefore, the objective of this work is to evaluate the influence of a plant regulator, on the characteristics related to the biometric, productive and industrial components of upland rice cultivar, BRS Esmeralda, submitted to application of thidiazuron at times and doses under the conditions of Closed Brazilian. The experimental design will be a randomized block design, arranged in a 3x3 + 1 factorial scheme, with four replications. The treatments will consist of the control treatment without application of the product and three doses of thidiazuron (1.0, 2.0 and 3.0g ha-1 of TDZ), applied at three moments during the tillering of the plants (beginning of tillering, full tillering and end of tillering). The work will be developed at the Experimental Farm belonging to the Faculty of Engineering - UNESP - Ilha Solteira Campus, located in the municipality of Selvíria - MS. The evaluations will be: height of plants, degree of lodging, number of panicles per square meter, total number of spikelets per panicle, number of grains per panicle, fertility of spikelets, mass of 100 grains, mass of hectoliter and grain yield .
