Abstract

Based on the assumptions that Journalism plays a fundamental role in the public opinion formation and that it can help social transformations to happen, the present project proposes to investigate and reflect on the uses of online journalism by social movements as a tool of militancy and knowledge construction. Through a comparative analysis of two online initiatives connected to contemporary feminism, the "Revista Azmina" and "Think Olga", it is expected to analyze the contents developed by the outlets and the potential impacts of this type of material, taking into account concepts that encompass theories of social movements, media, network society and online digital media. Using the Content Analysis methodology, the project proposes to analyze the portals' content according to the precepts of the framing analysis and describe the communication strategies according to their functions for social mobilization (AU)
