Abstract

Created in a period of great intellectual effervescence in the educational field (1978), the Educação & Sociedade Review presents an important contribution for the educational discussion in the country and also shows itself as a main review in the respective field. Noticing it, the current objective of the present study is to analyse the editorial project of the review between the years of 1978 and 1996, with the intent to observe the changes that happened in the period which goes from the very first release of the review, passing through the debates that relate the education and the democratization of the country, to the discussions in the educational field about the constituent process and the New Educational Law (9394/1996). The reviews from edition 1 to 57 will be used as references. The data obtained by this study will be translated into spreadsheets in order to organize the achieved information about the editorial committee and the editorial project, allowing its variation through the years to be identified. There will also be used oral records as reference, which will be obtained by interviews with strategic members that were part of the editorial committee in different periods. (AU)
