Abstract

Starting from the theoretical perspective of Discourse Analysis (PÊCHEUX, 1975); (ORLANDI, 2007), this project seeks to analyze the absence / presence of LGBT books in two public and municipal libraries in the city of Ribeirão Preto and Sertãozinho, the country towns of the state of São Paulo, trying to investigate the dominant senses, or not) censorship on issues of gender and sexuality and discursive functioning on the subject, if there is imposition of the heterosexual matrix considered normal, acceptable to the subjects, preventing other sayings about LGBT subjects are in the books represented there.
