This project proposal has as objective to develop and analyze a simplified mathematical model to describe the droplet combustion in mutual interaction. To avoid the complexity involved in the advanced models able to describe complete spray combustion, the spray-flamelet model was developed, based in the flamelet model of turbulent combustion, under reasonable simplifier considerations. In order to expand the spray-flamelet model, which is acurate in conditions in which the liquid phase of the spray is totally vaporized before the flame, to cases in which fuel droplets, after pass through the flame, burn and interact to each other in the region of the oxidizer, it is proposed a submodel to the interaction between droplets that may be coupled to the spray-flamelet model. Then, it will be studied the phenomena that occur when there is interaction between droplets, as well as to identify the flame extinction conditions.
