Abstract

Carbon nanotubes have shown promising performance in the field of heterogeneous catalysis. Several studies were developed about this theme; however, it is still uncertain the impact of some properties of the catalysts, such as oxygen mobility, number of active sites and preferentially exposed facets, on the performance of these materials. In this project were studied the catalytic performance of catalyst based on carbon nanotubes promoted with Ruthenium. The catalysts were previously synthetized using impregnation method of the respective chlorite. The 2-5% Ru/CNT catalyst will be characterized using chemisorption, temperature-programmed desorption (TPD), Surface Infrared spectroscopy (IR) and stability tests. (AU)
