Abstract

The International Research Internship Grant (BEPE) here presented refers to the need to obtain and analyze information on the structuring of textbook programs in Germany, in the attempt to establish analytical relations with the programs of distribution of didactic materials in Brazil. From a federalist policy, Germany assigns general guidelines on education to guide its educational public policies. However, with regard to the distribution of books, each state of the German federation defines its guidelines for adopting methods more or less similar to the central policy of the German State. The possibility of obtaining data on the financing, production and distribution of textbooks in this country, as well as the understanding in loco of the relations established in German territory between the states of the German federation may provide indications for analytical comparisons to the National Textbook Program (PNLD), carried out since 1985 in its current conception in Brazil.
