Abstract

Literature regarding the nitrogen efficiency of beef cattle is limited, especially from Nellore animals produced in tropical conditions. Such information may allow the reduction in dietary nitrogen levels of feedlot animals without impairing production, with potential to be an important strategy to minimize nitrogen excretion and green-house-gas emissions. The objective of this study is to evaluate the metabolism of post-weaned animals supplemented or not with RUP in dry and wet seasons.
