Abstract Since its first edition, the project "Patterns of Executive-Legislative Interaction" organizes and updates data on the Brazilian political system. Given the complexity of the understanding of Brazilian political institutions, the development of the project has been accompanied by the opening of sub-levels of analysis that integrate a systemic perspective of knowledge apprehension. In this perspective, the project currently houses four major research groups, namely: Brazilian legislative production, Union budget, parliamentarians' career and roll-call votes. The organization of these data is undoubtedly one of the major contributions of the thematic project and has collaborated in a systematic way - through the opening of new fronts of research and theoretical and methodological training of new researchers - with the production of accurate diagnoses about the institutions that operate democracy in Brazil. In view of this, the present plan of activities will focus on the research group on the budget data of the Union. The database for the budget years from 1996 to 2016 is consolidated and it is necessary to update the years 2017 and 2018. | |
