Abstract

Salmonella Enteritidis (SE), Salmonella Typhimurium (ST) and Salmonella Heidelberg (SH) are among the most prevalent paratyphoid serovars found in birds and humans. In this study, we propose the evaluation of intestinal colonization and systemic infection by bacterial count in cecal and liver contents in 3types of commercial poultry line inoculated with mutant strains of SE, ST and SH containing deletions in the ttrA and pduA genes.
