Abstract

This project is related to the topics 4.2.2 and 4.2.3 of the thematic project. It aims at the development, computer implementation and numerical tests of methodologies intended for stochastic parameter identification and finite element model updating from experimental data, and evaluation of the reliability of rotating machinery supported by hydrodynamic bearings, in the presence of faults. For this purpose, high-fidelity FE models of the machinery of interest, accounting for the different types of faults, will be used to generate simulated time- and frequency-domain responses, which, in combination with experimental counterparts, will be adopted to solve the above-mentioned problems.
