Abstract

The aim of this research is to evaluate the effects of probiotic supplements on nutrient digestibility, rumen fermentation, immune parameters, and milk production of lactating dairy cows. The experiment will be a completely randomized block design with 114 Holstein lactating dairy cattle (40 DIM; minimizing inclusion of primiparous cows). Animals will be stratified by milk yield and parity and randomly assigned to following treatments: Control diets (CON), Control diet supplemented with Bovamine® Dairy, 3x109 cfu/cow daily, Control diet supplemented with Bovamine® Dairy + CHMSP, 11.8x109 cfu/cow daily. Will be evaluated to following parameters: body weight, feed intake, fecal and urine samples, milk yield, rumen fermentation and blood chemistry. (AU)
