Abstract

The main objective of our work is to build, using an Arduino microcontroller, a device integrating a generator of haptic feedback and an electromyography (EMG) sensor. More specifically, we intend to: 1) Build a human-machine-human interface, capable of measuring a biosignal (electromyogram), while filtering and extracting relevant information, and utilize this information as an input to control a system which will generate a haptic force feedback, using electric stimulation; 2) Study the potential of this system to assist the development of new applications in biomedicine, IoT and rehabilitation; 3) Provide the student with knowledge about scientific research, EMG, biosignals, signal analysis and control tools, electric stimulation and haptic feedback.
