The aim of the study is to evaluate the influence of the incorporation of two bioactive materials into experimental infiltrants with respect to chemical-mechanical properties and to compare them to a commercially available infiltrant (Icon®, DMG, Germany). Experimental infiltrants [75% TEGDMA, 25% Bis-EMA, 0.5 mol% camphorquinone (CQ) and 1 mol% dimethylaminoethyl benzoate (EDAB)] will be prepared and 15% Biosilicate® or nanoparticulate hydroxyapatite (HAp). All manipulations will be performed in an environment with controlled temperature (25ºC) and humidity, and the following groups will be made: experimental control, experimental + 15% Biosilicate®, experimental + 15% hydroxyapatite and commercial comparison infiltrant (Icon®). The properties analyzed will be degree of conversion (n = 3), sorption and solubility in distilled water (n = 8), flexural strength and modulus of elasticity (n = 10), bioactivity and depth of penetration (n = 3). All specimens will be polymerized with LED light source for 40 seconds (Valo, Ultradent, 1000mW/cm²). The statistical analysis will be performed with significance of 5% for each test.(AU)
