Abstract

Systemic Arterial Hypertension is considered a public health problem and the number of people diagnosed with the disease is increasing. It is noteworthy that the increasing number of hypertensive individuals may be related to vulnerable social and environmental conditions, since hypertension is multifactorial and is associated with the environment and the conditions to which the person is exposed. Thus, the problem question of this study is: What are the socioenvironmental conditions that may influence the incidence and variability of systemic arterial hypertension rates? This study aims to evaluate the influence of socioenvironmental conditions on the incidence and variability of hypertension rates. This is a multi-group ecological study with a quantitative approach. This research will be conducted in the area covered by two Family Health Strategies (FHS) in the city of São Carlos-SP. Data will be collected through access to two different sources, data will be used from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), specifically from the "National Health Survey - 2013: Perception of health status, lifestyles and chronic diseases of Brazil, Major Regions and Federative Units and in relation to the socioeconomic and epidemiological profile of the study population, the data will be collected from the E-SUS and Form A (record form in the medical records) of each FHS. Data will be analyzed by measures of centrality, means, association and relative and absolute frequencies. To achieve the objectives of this study we intend to use the statistical tests to determine significance, proportionality and contingency, namely: Kruskal-Wallis Yates Correction test for the observed and expected proportions; Nominal Multinomial Model for odds ratios and the Wald Test for its amplitude. Data collection will begin after the study has been approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar).
