Abstract

This research project of scientific initiation seeks to reconstruct the historical aspects of the agriculture school clubs in the São Paulo state through the study of the Helio Morganti Agriculture School Club which operated at the "Comendador Morganti Rural Graded School, in Araraquara- São Paulo State in the period between 1953 to 1969, taking into account the objectives, the regulations, the agents responsible for their implementations and the education and agriculture practices developed. The survey also plans to collect and analyze the regulation for creating and for the functioning of the Helio Morganti Agriculture School Club as well as the participation of the Ministry of Agriculture (State Secretary of Agriculture) and the State Secretary of Education as regards to these organs in the Sao Paulo State and also to contribute to the history of rural education in the state of São Paulo. The Project is based upon the approach identified as "new cultural history" and uses as documental body the state of São Paulo legislation and documents on Agriculture Club found in the school archives which belong to the "Comendador Pedro Morganti" Rural Graded School envolving minutes of the club meetings, membership registry, the list of donations, the official letters, inventory of club materials, club reports, among others
