Abstract

This research aims to reflect on a possible contribution of Jan Patocka's concept of solidarity of the shaken to the problems that affect the construction of the sense of place in contemporary cities. Such setbacks are commonly based on urban planning, which engenders a process where the existence of those displaced as migrants and low-income populations becomes secondary to urban studies. Mainly when this situation holds in the social housing, where the people of these places are led to face a unique situation: first, the abrupt change to a distant or temporarily devalued area of the city, moving away from a more participative experience in the urban environment; second, the need to rebuild their place and identity with people from different locations who also seek to survive. In this way, it is desired to study, through the fieldwork, how this solidarity is woven in these projected places, analyzing them in the dynamics of the popular residential condominiums such as those in the Residencial Morada das Acácias neighborhood in the city of Limeira. The intention is to investigate how the organization of this collective reverses the established ordinary logic, which would be that of an adaptation to a lifestyle that denies the differences and inequalities, contained in the warp of the urban landscape. Thus, it is necessary to question how this solidarity would serve to radicalize the recognition of these beings-in-the-worlds, in the task of rethinking what are the real possibilities of political actions that can contribute to the verification of the effective existence of these places that are conceald by the current social standards.
