The main demand in modern Analytical Chemistry is the development of ever faster, simpler and more efficient methods which, through the appropriate combination of sample preparation, chromatography and mass spectrometry, will provide reliable results in a short time and with minimal environmental impact. Thus, the present project seeks to assist the main thematic project, by developing comprehensive and high productivity analytical systems. Three main axes of the thematic project will be addressed in the implementation of this proposal: (i) development of automated sample preparation methods to simplify high throughput analysis; (ii) introduction and fabrication of new miniaturized chromatographic columns, in chip format with built-in temperature programming system capable of separating small molecules with high efficiency and speed; and (iii) coupling of the previous systems with electrospray ionization source mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) detection. ) and electron assisted (EI-MS), focusing on the development of targeted and untargeted analytical applications.
