Abstract

This research internship proposal abroad aims to deepen the two general fronts of the doctoral research I developed in the country: the advanced guitar performance and the scientific investigation of the metacognitive processes involved in musical practice. The chosen center - University of Aveiro - Portugal - has centers of excellence in both areas, making possible the theoretical research work on Self-Regulation of Learning and artistic musical practice, as well as obtaining qualitative data from the research target audience: Undergraduate students in music. Through bibliographic research, participation in academic discussions and conferences, observation of guitar lessons, focus group, and preparation and presentation of a guitar recital, the internship, mentioned in the initial PhD research project in Brazil, will allow synthesis and dialogue between quantitative and qualitative data and the result of artistic performance.
