Abstract

This work plan for a post-doctoral fellow bridges the New Materials and Nonlinear Photonics areas of the thematic project. A number of activities involves integrated waveguides, and microcavities, on silicon-based chips covered with graphene, as well as other 2D materials and 2D heterostructures. Therefore, this work plan includes the numerical modelling and fabrication of the waveguides/cavities; the transfer of 2D materials onto them; and their optical characterization. An intense collaboration with other project members at Unicamp and MackGraphe, as well as the use of the facilities at boths these institutions, is expected. The plan is initially for a period of 24 months, but a renewal may be later requested. (AU)
