Abstract

The use of non-social networks has grown increasingly no current in the world. The report "Global Digital 2019 " demonstrated in 2018, of the 7.6 Report of non-world people, 3.1 billion are active users of social networks, and Brazil has 140 million of active users in the networks. Studies evaluate the negative potential to make use of social networks, with depression and anxiety and with social phenomena. Few studies relate the specific use of Instagram to eating behavior, since a schedule to make body weight presents a significant role in body weight and no eating behavior. The objective is to evaluate a poster that the OSU social network Instagram, the network to this and the content consumed, in the motivations will be as dietary choices of university students in the health area. The work will be conducted with undergraduate students of the courses in the area of health, over 18 years, of the Institute of Biosciences (Nutrition and Biomedical Sciences) and the Faculty of Medicine of Botucatu (Nursing and medicine). Considering the data collection instrument, which is composed of 45 questions, it will be necessary at least 46 individuals to perform the proposed analysis. For the present study will be invited all students enrolled in the courses listed above, and a possible loss of 10% of the assessments to be a representative sample of this population. Data collection will be in the period from November 2019 to July 2020. The researcher will contact the class representatives of each undergraduate year, of all courses, to schedule a visit to the classroom, to clarify the purpose of the study and invite the Pupils for participation. All those who agree to participate have signed the free and informed consent form. A questionnaire containing sociodemographic information is applied to characterize the population: age, gender, sexual option, course, period, marital status, Ethnicity, number of residents of the house, who prepares meals and where meals, smoking, alcoholism, physical activity, weight and stature are self-injured. Information regarding the use of Instagram will be raised: usage time and content consumed. It will be used the scale "The Eating Motivation Survey - TEMS", a reduced version, elaborated by German researchers and, adapted transculturally and validated for Brazil, through a set of studies that aimed not only to gather the different Reasons related to dietary choices present in other instruments, but also to broaden understanding through interviews with professionals related to the environment as nutritionists, psychologists, and authors ' considerations - which resulted in a Instrument that covers the dimensions needed to assess the motivations to eat and food choices. The questionnaire to be applied consists of 45 questions and 15 domains. The analysis of the data obtained will be multivariate in which a factorial analysis will be applied to verify the 15 proposed domains. For this analysis, a minimum of 46 individuals will be required, according to the sample calculation previously demonstrated. A descriptive analysis will be conducted for the socio-demographic data and the use of Instagram. A correlation will be made between the variables of the socio-demographic questionnaire with the Instagram, time of use and content consumed. In all analyses, the significance level of 5% or corresponding p-value will be fixed. All analyses will be performed using the program SAS for Windows, v. 9.4. (AU)
