Abstract

The presence of some hormones in spring water that can cause harm to health are not easily removed by the conventional processes of flocculation, decantation, filtration, disinfection and fluoridation. Currently, financial resources are being invested in some countries in a process known as bioremediation for the treatment of water contaminated with different hormones. This scientific initiation project aims to reduce the levels of estriol in contaminated water. For this, the construction of a bioremediation device on a laboratory scale and the monitoring of the variation of the estriol hormone through analyzes based on a specific electrochemical technique are being proposed.
