Abstract

Integrated with the thematic project "Socio-spatial Fragmentation and Brazilian Urbanization: Scales, Vectors, Rhythms, Forms and Content" (FragUrb), this scientific initiation proposal aims to identify, characterize and map the housing production of social interest in Brazilian medium-sized cities. As an analytical perspective, the period from the extinct National Bank of Housing to that most recently undertaken by the Minha Casa Minha Vida Program. To this end, it is intended to outline the first steps of an analysis that articulates the characteristics and specificities of this production vis-à-vis the processes of urban territorial expansion, confronting the housing deficit and the production of socio-spatial inequalities. It is intended to contribute to the reflection on housing production and consumption in the face of a fragmentary socio-spatial logic. As a spatial cut will be investigated the cities of Chapecó (SC), Maringá (PR), Presidente Prudente (SP), Ribeirão Preto (SP), Ituiutaba (MG), Dourados (MS), Mossoró (RN) and Marabá (PA). located in different Brazilian socio-spatial formations.
