Abstract

The Reading Program: Learning to Read and Write in Small Steps (LRWSS), which is mediated by the Computer-Based Teaching Manager (CBTM) software, is the result of decades of studies in cognitive psychology, linguistics, psychology of learning and related areas, and has been successfully used in some Brazilian cities as a tool to assist students who present difficulties in the literacy process. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of LRWSS, which will apply in the second year of Elementary School Cycle I, in a municipal school of Santo André. The work proposes to analyze the performance in children with difficulties in pre- and post-intervention literacy by LRWSS - CBTM with a pre-reading evaluation and eye movements through the Eye tracker technique. This procedure aimed to map the literacy process longitudinal.
