Abstract

This research aims to evaluate some physical and chemical variables of water in sections of Colonia Mineira stream, located in the city of Presidente Prudente. For this, samples will be taken from five sections and be measured in situ the variables water temperature (T), electrical conductivity (EC), turbidity (turbine), pH and dissolved and oxygen (OD), with portable digital devices. It will also be measured the water velocity to calculate the flow of the sections. Then aliquots of surface water in the five sections will be sampled for laboratory measurement the variables ammonia nitrogen (N-NH4), dissolved phosphorus, soluble reactive phosphorus, total phosphorus, chlorophyll a and the material in total suspension. Monitoring results will be tabulated in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and statistical data analysis will be performed using Principal Component Analysis using Statistic for Windows software. This statistical treatment will aim to analyze possible temporal and spatial trends of the values of the measured variables. (AU)
