Abstract

This research project has the general objective of understanding the action and identity construction of the LGBT community within a rural social movement in the region of Presidente Prudente (SP). The work proposes to accompany the acceptability of LGBTs in rural areas andthe creation, still incipient, of an LGBT collective in the Landless Rural Workers Movement. To this end, the research approach is quantitative and qualitative with an exploratory nature. The data collection instruments used will be bibliographic and documentary research, self-applied questionnaires and interviews. Thus, this initiative intends to promote a critical reading about the sexuality and spatialization of a social minority present in a movement that does not have as main focus the theme of sexual diversity and, in this way, to follow how the territorialization and performance of LGBT identity has been taking place in the peasant sphere.
