Abstract

The psychological welfare in teenagers has been a research target by the scientific community for a long time. Characterized as a phase with many changes, there are many researches that show a high level of stress, anxiety and depression on these population. This situation is concerning, because of the high levels of suffering that these people are involved and the relation of these conditions with a high rate of suicidal ideations. Due to COVID-19 pandemic and the isolation measures taken by the authorities, students began to have contact risk factors of mental health, previously unknown for them, as the fear of being infected by the Coronavirus and the school closures. This study will be part of the Thematic Project "University-Public School Collaboration in the development of more inclusive politics, practices and cultures" and will be developed in two stages: the first is to analyse the stress, anxiety and depression levels of High School students of two public schools in São Paulo's countryside, through the Lipp's Inventory of Symptoms of Stress (ISSL), the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), comparing them with the impact that the pandemic's situation caused in the student´s daily life, that will be investigated with a questionnaire made by the authors. The second stage involves the application of the same instruments applied in stage 1, in a presence way, after the return of school's activities. A quantitative and descriptive analysis of the data will be made, comparing the results of both stages and investigating how the school's return interferes in mental health's students. As a result, there is an expectation that the students will present deficits in their socioemotional conditions.
