Abstract

A presente proposta visa a aplicação de métodos moleculares para detecção de vírus emergentes em amostras de doadores de sangue como parte de um estudo de vigilância genômica dos vírus emergentes identificados via sequenciamento de última geração no projeto Jovem Pesquisador 17/23205-8. Durante a análise bioinformática foram identificados vários vírus emergentes com possível impacto na medicina transfusional como os gemykibivírus humanos 1 e 2 e o vírus da influenza A, bem como vírus com transmissão transfusional comprovada como dengue vírus to tipo 2 e parvovírus humano B19. Ainda nesta proposta o bolsista de treinamento técnico aprenderá técnicas básicas de sequenciamento de última geração como preparação de transcriptoma e bibliotecas genômicas. A detecção direta desses agentes em doadores de sangue bem como em amostras com informação pós-doação trará um panorama melhor sobre a sua disseminação na população geral bem como características genômicas e impacto na transfusão de sangue.
