Abstract

Salmonella Enteritidis (SE), Salmonella Typhimurium (ST), and Salmonella Heidelberg (SH) are among the most prevalent paratypical serovars found in birds and humans. In this study, the evaluation of intestinal colonization and the systemic infection by means of bacterial count in cecal content and liver in 3lineage types of commercial birds inoculated with SE, ST, and SH and previously inoculated with mutant strains of SE, ST, and SH containing deletions in the ttrA and pduA.(AU)
