Abstract

The living together in groups occurs since the dawn of humanity. However, this coexistence is not always harmonious, as in social relations situations of conflict and violence can occur. In school institutions, living together can also present situations of conflict and violence, such as bullying, since the diversity in behaviors and in the way of thinking are experienced in daily contact with others. Thus, this study aims to analyze a secondary database on the quality of family interactions of students who practiced bullying at school. This is an exploratory and descriptive study with a total participation of 2.354 students, of which 174 boys reported bullying their colleagues. Data collection combined the use of two scales (bullying and family interactions), in addition to the technique of semi-structured interviews. This work plan aims to develop quantitative and qualitative analysis of the data that are already collected and tabulated in the Excel program, as well as the interviews that are already transcribed. The theoretical-methodological assumptions of Historical-Cultural Psychology will also guide data analysis. The study will add a perspective still unprecedented in Brazil, as few studies focus on the issue of family variables associated with the occurrence of bullying, as well as the particularity of male students who practice it in the school context.
