Physiological activity and yield of peanut cultivars cultivated in two sowing dates in West Paulista

Abstract

Water stress is one of the main limitations for peanut production, and this is most important in sandy soil environments. One of the main strategies to mitigate the negative effects and the use of cultivars with greater tolerance. The objective of the study will be to evaluate the physiological activity and yield of peanut cultivars grown in two sowing dates. Two experiments will be conducted (sowing in November and December). The experiments will be conducted in a commercial field in the municipality of Regente Feijó SP, in a sandy soil. The experimental design will be in randomized blocks, with four replications. The treatments will be six peanut cultivars: IAC 505, IAC 503, IAC OL3,IAC OL4, EC-98 and Granoleico. Nodulation, leaf area index, radiation use efficiency, stomatal conductance and proline content will be evaluated. To evaluate the yield components (number of plants per meter, number of pods per plant, number of grains period and weight of 1000 grains) and yield, one meter of plant (two lines) will be collected from each experimental unit. The statistical study will consist of analyzes of variance and regression, and the averages of the experimental treatments will be compared byte Tukey test at the minimum level of 5% probability.
